Women come in all shapes, sizes, abilities, interests.

I could see some women who might like to compete against men to see how they’d stack up.

I have no prob with that as long as it’s in an open competition.

I suppose. I don’t really have a problem with it either. If everyone, regardless of gender, want to jump in a pool and compete, so be it. I just don’t see it working. I just see a lot of the trans angle being men stealing medals from women. Hypothetically, say you have 32 people competing in qualifying events for an eight lane final. 8 men, 8 women, 8 trans men, 8 trans women. Based on time alone, the odds you end up with a final heat with a pool full of men would be pretty high.

Over time, I’d think trans competitors would be weeded out by men just as they would be in a men-only category. It’s an idea destined for lots of unintended consequences in my opinion.
