HARRISBURG, Pa. — Children who lived closer to natural gas wells in heavily drilled western Pennsylvania were more likely to develop a relatively rare form of cancer, and nearby residents of all ages had an increased chance of severe asthma reactions, researchers said in reports released Tuesday evening.
The taxpayer-funded research by the University of Pittsburgh adds to a body of evidence suggesting links between the gas industry and certain health problems.
In the reports, the researchers found what they called significant associations between gas industry activity and two ailments: asthma, and lymphoma in children, who are relatively rarely diagnosed with this type of cancer.
The researchers were unable to say whether the drilling caused the health problems, because the studies weren't designed to do that. Instead, the researchers combed health records to try to determine possible associations based on how close people lived to natural gas wells, while industry groups pointed to what they say are weaknesses of the studies' assumptions and the limitations of its data.

Well, of COURSE it does! ANYTHING to stop America from being energy independent!
ROTFLMFAO!!!
Utter BS to the nth degree.
But the Clot Shot is “safe & effective”.
These people need to be in an insane asylum.
you know at this point I wonder if DDT was really bad and if asbestos is really bad.
Another government grant BS study. Jackasses who conduct “studies” should be required to pay for them with a GoFundMe page not the American worker’s wages that were stolen from them. Most “studies” have a political cause being pimped. Stop wasting our money!
Lying Democrat scum.
The researchers found what they were determined to find, and picking and choosing the data is the only way to do what.
I can do that kind of research myself, and whatever I need to prove, I will. It’s just a matter of not including the data which might disprove my intended result. It’s the new scientific method, which also includes consensus.
DDT is not a “bad” thing, and the commies made our retarded government ban it.
Asbestos is factually a bad thing, and that cannot be denied due to empirical evidence in the lungs of those affected by it.
The answer to both of those questions, based on overall cost vs. benefit to humanity, would be a resounding NO.
First draw the curve, then plot the points, and finally gather the data.
I suggest a link between consuming leftist drivel and early onset dementia.
So can dirt.
And rocks.
Yes sir!!!
I grew up where a lot of these wells are located. The proximity to people is far from them.
This is BS to the nTH degree!!!
See, WE HAVE TO STOP DRILLING!!!
IT’S FOR THE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!! what a joke!
DDT was not the culprit Rachel Carson made it out to be. Silent Spring was thoroughly debunked by real scientists. Even the New York Times called her out for junk science back in 2007.
Pennsylvania Ping!

FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Causation - correlation requires TRUE science.
My causation:
I drop my car keys in the driveway and within 2 days we get rain. When I want rain I now go out to my driveway and throw my car keys at the ground. Works every time.
Perhaps “create” would have been a better word than “gather”. Or maybe “manipulate”.
correlation is not causation
