Thomas Sowell is a treasure! I purchased and read his book, "The Housing Boom and Bust", which details the late 2000s subprime mortgage fiasco. A no-nonsense, yet scholarly account of another tragic meddling by the unfettered federal government.
I think I'll order a copy of "Basic Economics" as well.
