Trump’s support is unchanged since Kaplan Strategies’ poll published in July, whereas DeSantis is down two points from when he and Ramaswamy were tied at twelve percent. The pair have been trending in opposite directions over the past few months, with Ramaswamy climbing and DeSantis sliding.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is on DeSantis’s heels with eight percent after doubling his support since the poll that was taken from July 17-18. From there, former Govs. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) tie at four percent. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is down three points from July, garnering two percent in this poll, followed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) with one percent.

Folks jumping on the Vivek train really, really need to dig deeper on this guy, he’s not remotely what he pretends to be.

Fraud from top to bottom.

Listening to his interview with Hugh Hewitt today convinced me without question he’s an even bigger slimeball that I thought. He’s got the act down well, but this guys is far more a Bill Clinton than a Ronald Reagan.

Folks are being snookered by this guy.

I said a year ago that Trump becomes the “presumptive R nominee” the moment he declared.

Trump should spend all his time fixing election fraud and not worrying about these other minor candidates.

Bad news considering Vivek is a Soros Trojan horse. He’s our version of Rishi Sunak.

How does Trump “fix” election fraud, when he’s a private citizen and has no authority over anyone?

That’s for the smart guys to figure out.
Otherwise, it’s just a re-run of 2020 with a lot of money spent on campaigning and no better results.

He’s smooth but he’s more a salesman than ideological. I watched his with Candace Owens and he’s clever using rhetorical slights of hand. He admitted evoking on some issues. I’d watched another interview on YouTube awhile back and it seemed like the campaign had limited the scope to friendly get to know me questions.

Sadly I agree with you. I really wanted to like him.

All Desantis had to do was ride-out his duties in Florida - he was on top of the world and a shoo-in for the ‘28 primary.

Trump and all his followers would have been kingmakers. Instead he turned them all into detractors... who are now eating him alive.

Talk about f’ing it all up.

You are so wrong. There is no guarantee that Trump will be alive and well in 2024. God willing, he will be. I do not want any of the others in his stead. RDS is the only acceptable replacement.

Trump commissioned $400M worth of voter fraud in 2020 under the auspices of COVID relief. The guy who signed his own electoral death warrant won’t be fixing anything since if he is nominated again, we might as well start candidate shopping for 2028.

You may well be correct.
But Trump’s the 2024 R nominee, good, bad, or indifferent.

It doesn’t really matter. After Trump is defeated again next fall, the opinions of people who handed another term to the worst president in history won’t have much currency among the primary electorate.

This guy has passed DeSantis for one reason:

With each new announcement of Trump indictments, Republican voters find lawyers increasingly repulsive as political candidates.

Not at all. No votes have been cast yet. If he’s incarcerated during the convention, I could easily see a candidate swap. He’s also 77 and could drop dead at any point. My dad died at 75.

I thought the best scenario is that Trump wins the election while in prison, takes the oath of office, pardons himself, and heads for DC.
