A weight-loss drug has been proven to also reduce the risk of a stroke or heart attack, according to a new trial.
The makers of Wegovy, Novo Nordisk, say its latest study shows it cuts risk of a cardiovascular event in overweight people with heart disease by a fifth.
The firm hailed it a "landmark trial", saying it would change the way obesity is regarded and treated.
While the findings still have to be fully reviewed, experts agreed the results were potentially significant.
The injection is popular in places like the US, and was approved for weight loss in the NHS in England in June.

The Scamdemic has left me wary of Big Pharma.
A keto, ketovore or carnivore diet will do the same thing...for free! I’ve lost fifty pounds thus far.
WOW, all of a sudden all these OFF LABEL uses for drugs. It’s a miracle I tell you.
WAIT, during the COVID SCAMDEMIC the Off Label uses for drugs were BANNED. YES, something stinks more than Biden’s Soiled Diaper!!

I’ve lost 15 pounds on wegovy in 3 months. I’ve had similar results doing keto, but this is so much easier and enjoyable.
I’m intermittent fasting for 18 hours a day, but it’s so easy with wegovy. You eat less and stay full longer.
I’m about to go on to the maintenance only for wegovy...I’m not sure what that means but I’m approaching the weight I want to be at.
Constitpation is the #1 side effect, but a good doctor will tell you to get miralax at first to help offset it.
I also have tiredness, but that’s because I’m calorie deficient as I’m losing weight. Oh and I burb a lot when I lay down.
Notice this is from Novo Nordisk, through the BBC to MSN, in the new "old" game of Chinese whispers. Novo Nordisk pays little in advertising costs when the "media" performs for them.

Yeah, weight loss leads to a reduction in heart attacks or strokes. What a surprise...</sarc>
It’s about $$, and most likely fudged findings, pay attention to the wording in such artical.
Metformin has been recommended as a Long Haul Covid drug, Metformin is very dangerous, it doesn’t even work for Diabetics, it’s just Cheap so the Feds buy tons of it.
This is your key phrase: “While the findings still have to be fully reviewed, experts agreed the results were potentially significant.” They don’t know Jack-Sh. if it can.
Ozempic, Rybelsus and Wegovy are all semaglutides and are approved to lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in addition to diet and exercise. Ozempic is also approved to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and known heart disease. The new trial data released on Tuesday showed patients on Wegovy had a 20% lower incidence of heart attack, stroke or heart disease compared to those on a placebo.
So it is being billed as better than nothing. They may be a little over the top on their determination presentation and are trying to make it like Ozempic only with more ink.

Drinking lots of water and eating plenty of salad and fruit will grease the pipeline naturally.
Yep
Ozempic, is on the Suicide list. https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2018/6/14/17458726/depression-drugs-suicide-side-effect
Cue the ‘more benefit than risk’ gaslighting.
smh
Good health begins with questioning the narrative, including that any pill is panacea for a comprehensive, synergistic problem demonstrated by weight gain.
Did some people learn nothing from the plandemic??? (rhetorical)
If I did that I wouldn’t need wegovy. LOL
Well, isn’t the positive heart and stroke effect related to the weight loss itself?
Mee too.
Don’t trust them.
But I know they also do real stuff and some diseases are real. Hell, there might be a real pandemic that’s worrying in the future, but I won’t trust pharma or the government. Once you’re full of $hit and you stick with it like they did you sort of lose all credibility.
Sounds like a great poison, and many will pick it anyway.
