Are they saying that the hurricane had something to do with starting the wildfires or that it has made it more difficult to rescue people?

I’m praying for people and animals too. Animals have no way to get out.

Don’t they burn the sugarcane fields in the harvesting process?

Sugar is no longer produced in Hawaii.

Most sugarcane and pineapple fields were shutdown a few years ago

There may be more to this than local arsonists.

Think 1938 to 1945.

Japan created an island chain of defense in furtherance of the “ Asian co prosperity sphere”

This cut off major trade routes.

Now fast forward to the last decade with China basically copying that war plan with their artificial islands and recent acquisition of presence on Guadal canal , ect.

What was Japan’s next step in that war plan ?

An attack on the hawaian islands.

You do the math.

The Global Warming Crowd are going to milk this one for all its worth. This is their “Reichstag Fire”.

But if you mention that it snowed in normally snowless Orange County, Calif. last March, they will tell you that you are talking about weather, not climate. So let's throw that back at them and not let them have it both ways. A unique situation in which two phenomena unusual for the area--a hurricane and a high pressure ridge--come together is a weather phenomenon unrelated to climate.

No.

The email was from my sister who just moved off the island couple years ago due to the vaxxer tyrany.

I live in California, but have visited her there in the past.

We both have a deep love for the aloha state.

I was conceived on Guam and seem to have the heart of an “ island boy”.

The Aloha spirit lives deep in my soul.

We are crushed and devastated by this.

I too, have a deep love of the Islands, especially the less citified islands of Maui and Kauai.

I’ve never seen anything like this.

“Are they saying that the hurricane had something to do with starting the wildfires...”

Well, they say a butterfly flapping its wings here can cause a hurricane in Japan, so maybe a hurricane in Japan can cause a wildfire in Hawai’i?

Chaos theory!

Dora is quite a storm.  It reached hurricane force last week on August 1, and is projected to remain a category 3 storm for the rest of this week and in to Sunday.

Churing away out in the Pacific, we haven't heard much about it, and it's 700 miles away from Hawaii and still pulling enough air to fan these fires.  Wouldn't want to be on a ship anywhere near that thing.

I think the hurricane is not close by, but it has increased wind speed.
