Mark Levin to Trump's Legal Team: 'Seek an Emergency Hearing Before the Supreme Court'
PJ Media ^ | 08/03/2023 | Gwendolyn Sims

Posted on 08/03/2023 9:15:34 PM PDT by Kevin in California

Levin’s public advice to President Trump’s legal team involved encouraging them “to seek an emergency hearing before the U.S. Supreme Court.” This SCOTUS hearing would not be called to decide the validity of any of the former president’s legal issues but “to at least temporarily halt the abomination of this legal warfare that is unfolding in front of us.” With this lawfare, Levin explained, “the Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans are unashamedly celebrating the use of the courts by the Biden administration and Democrat DA’s to further their political wishes, as the rest of the nation watches in shock.” “The Biden administration has created a legal morass,” wrote Levin, like we’ve “never seen or experienced in American history, as applies to a presidential election.” In other words, the Biden administration is weaponizing its legal and political apparatchiks in a coordinated and unprecedented effort to bog down the frontrunner in the 2024 presidential election.

It’s extremely alarming how Trump’s legal team hasn’t succeeded in getting any of the myriad charges against him dismissed at this point.

Has SCOTUS ever preemptively acted on a court case before the case is even heard?

I’m afraid Donald Trump will have to wait until the kangaroos have already done their thing. Then appeal to the Supremes.

That’s what George W. Bush did in 2000 when Gore tried to overturn the election in Florida. The Supreme Court was willing to take on the case then. Different times, different Justices. I don’t have any faith in the Court as a whole. They ignored election suits that they should have heard based on their decision in Bush v. Gore (2000), but they pretended that decision didn’t exist.

I’d like to see Mark Levin join with Alan Dershowitz to appeal this for Trump. I know the comments are coming about Dershowitz being a Democrat. The fact him and Levin both love the Law and the correct application of it.

Mark Levin destroys the insurrection charges as “crap” on Fox and Friends:

It's not alarming at all once you realize our Justice System is corrupt.

Once you realize that, you expect this type of behavior.

Given your rabid NeverTrumpism, I'm pretty sure NO-ONE wants your opinion where Trump is concerned.

I watched this today. Possibly the best 13 minutes of Levin I've ever heard.

THIS IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR.

I DID NOT KNOW IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE OR NOT.

IF IT IS POSSIBLE, I PRAY THE TRUMP TEAM DOES IT.

THERE ARE TOO MANY WEIRDO PROSECUTORS RUNNING AROUND LOOKING FOR NON EXISTING CRIMES.

Everyone should hear what Mark Levin said on F&F and listen very carefully to his points.

The USSC doesn’t normally ever try cases, they’re not even really setup to manage evidence, or like to hear from witnesses. Normally it’s just elite lawyers in there reviewing existing case rulings with them. But Trump did already petition them for support in his Florida case, so it can happen early in a case, but even then it’s just for a sole procedural ruling I think, until the full case is decided. Levin is probably mostly concerned about using them for getting a change in the venue, to move it to another court, but that’s probably a longshot based on how such things work.

The Supreme Court has original jurisdiction in proceedings for extraordinary relief in the form of mandamus, certiorari, and prohibition.

And the current situation where a junta has taken power by fraud and is using the law as a political weapon is uncharted territory. The Supreme Court could go in several directions to put a stop to this abuse. They literally have final say over the actions of lesser courts.
It’s certainly no more of a power grab than Marbury vs Madison, or of the way they have used the commerce clause. They also technically had no right to intervene in the Florida election 2000 count... but they did. They basically declared it to be an emergency and stopped the count because of obvious abuse and chicanery.
We have that now in spades. If there was ever a case for the Supremes to assert primary jurisdiction, this is it.

It’s coming.

It’s extremely alarming how Trump’s legal team hasn’t succeeded in getting any of the myriad charges against him dismissed at this point.

DAs, judges and juries in "Blue" municipalities are allowed to indict and convict "Red" enemies, including a former president. A Michigan AG indicted her election opponent. A sitting president's AG and hand-picked prosecutor is charging and could JAIL his likely next election opponent.

If the SCOTUS does NOT stop this, this will eventually result in a Civil War.

Mark Levin was one of the most vile viscous never-Trumpers. He was relentless night after night on his radio broadcast.

Then after Trump was elected and Mark became a Fox stooge he jumped on the Trump money train having him on his show--Then, following Murdoch/Fox/Dominion orders he was once again a never-Trumper.

He's as phony as a 3 dollar bill.

It was assholes like him that helped fuel the fire of hatred for Trump.

This is true. I was a near daily listener of Mark, much more than Rush, being a fan of his going all the way back to his appearances on Fox during the Clinton scandals.

I got so mad at him, about Trump, I was was trying to call in, but they would just put me on hold. I came on here and spoke about my disappointment, then finally just quit listening to his show. Haven’t missed it.

Same. Levin was always just in it for the money.

Once you see that about him, his entire act falls apart. He’s no different than a performing clown. He couldn’t take the heat on FR so he stopped posting here.
