Trump Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ In Latest Witch Hunt Charges Over Jan. 6
The Federalist ^ | AUGUST 03, 2023 | TRISTAN JUSTICE

Former President Donald Trump pleaded “not guilty” Thursday to the latest round of federal charges against him from the Department of Justice.

The former president was arraigned in a Washington, D.C., federal courtroom over a four-count indictment Special Counsel Jack Smith handed down on Tuesday. Trump appeared in court Thursday while President Joe Biden remains on a Delaware vacation amid growing scandals surrounding the Biden family business ventures.

“Biden and his family steal Millions and Millions of Dollars, including BRIBES from foreign countries, and I’m headed to D.C. to be ARRESTED for protesting a CROOKED ELECTION. UNFAIR VENUE, UNFAIR JUDGE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social ahead of the proceedings. “We are a Nation in decline. MAGA!!!”

Smith charged Trump with a series of crimes related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, including conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy against rights, obstruction of an official proceeding, and conspiracy to obstruct a proceeding. Ultimately, the charges are an attack on political speech.

The timeline of this week’s indictment follows a steady routine of Trump charges being unveiled just after new revelations drop about Biden family business schemes.

12 Questions the Justice Department and FBI Need to Answer About January 6
American Thinker | 7 Jan, 2022 | Julie Kelly
Posted on 1/8/2022, 7:45:17 AM by MtnClimber

Dear Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans:

The questions:
1) Why does the Justice Department consider 14,000 hours of surveillance video captured on January 6 by taxpayer-funded security cameras as “highly sensitive” government material? Why are even 30-second clips used in court proceedings under protective orders with strict rules about how defendants and their attorneys can view the evidence against them?

2) What is the status of the FBI’s lengthy investigation into the alleged “pipe bomber” and why, despite using every intrusive tool, including geofence warrants, to collect information on Capitol protesters, has the FBI not yet identified a suspect?

3) Is Ray Epps an FBI asset? If not, why has he not been charged despite clearly engaging in the same behavior that resulted in felony criminal charges against other January 6 participants?

4) Did the FBI run informants into alleged militia groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers before January 6? Can you confirm the New York Times reporting from September that disclosed at least two FBI informants were with the Proud Boys when they breached the first exterior barrier right before 1 p.m. on January 6?

5) Why is Stewart Rhodes—the founder of the Oath Keepers and “person one” in every indictment for the 20-defendant conspiracy case against the Oath Keepers—still not charged with any crime even though he clearly organized the alleged conspiracy and was on Capitol grounds on January 6?

6) Explain why the Justice Department, notwithstanding testimony to the contrary, had elite FBI forces stationed at Quantico the weekend before January 6. Hundreds of FBI agents were deployed to the area around the Capitol that morning and some entered the building with the first set of protesters who breached the actual building. Is this not a contradiction of what Justice Department and FBI officials previously testified under oath?

7) How many pre-trial detention orders has the Justice Department sought against January 6 defendants? How many remain behind bars right now? How many face nonviolent charges and have no criminal record? How can the Justice Department continue to ask for delays in trial dates for detained defendants—is this not a clear violation of the Sixth Amendment?

8) How many detainees have been held in solitary confinement conditions in the D.C. jail specifically used to house January 6 defendants?

9) Does any police officer face possible charges for excessive unlawful force, including the two D.C. Metro police officers who beat, punched, and maced Victoria White inside the lower west terrace tunnel on January 6?

10) Is there a formal investigation into the death of Rosanne Boyland outside that tunnel on January 6? Video and eyewitness accounts suggest she did not die of an accidental drug overdose but actually may have been the victim of police misconduct.

11) How many raids has the FBI conducted to arrest January 6 defendants and does this include Americans only charged with misdemeanors?

12) How much taxpayer money has the Department of Justice spent so far in what Merrick Garland called the agency’s largest investigation in history?

EXCERPT By declaring the Jan. 6th riot an “insurrection,” some Democratic members of Congress and liberal activists hope to bar incumbent Republicans from running. Even support for court filings is now being declared an act of rebellion.

Speaker Pelosi helped fuel this movement — before Jan. 6 even occurred — by declaring that the Republicans supporting election challenges were “subverting the Constitution by their reckless and fruitless assault on our democracy which threatens to seriously erode public trust in our most sacred democratic institutions, and to set back our progress on the urgent challenges ahead.”

However, it has not been treated legally as an insurrection.

Those charged for their role in the attack that day are largely facing trespass and other less serious charges — rather than insurrection or sedition.

That’s because this was a riot that was allowed to get out of control by grossly negligent preparations by Capitol Police and congressional officials.

While the FBI launched a massive national investigation, it did not find evidence of an insurrection.

AND THIS

Demands For Secure Elections Do Not Constitute ‘Insurrection’

To corrupt media, Democrats, and Big Tech, anyone who protested the 2020 election is no different than the fools who stormed the U.S. Capitol.

On the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, the corporate media is working overtime to convince the American public that Republicans as a whole stormed the nation’s beacon of democracy at the beginning of 2021 and have waged a war on all that is good and decent.

While lunatics and fools did invade the Capitol last January, tens of thousands of Americans peacefully assembled to demand answers from the government about what they believed to be the sloppiest election in which they’ve ever voted.

Political violence should always be condemned, but a majority of the people present in Washington, D.C., and on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 weren’t violent.

Yes, hundreds of people stormed the U.S. Capitol in a riot, but tens of thousands of people of all ages, races, backgrounds, and lifestyles gathered together that day at the Save America Rally to protest the Democrats’ sleazy election manipulation and hear from President Donald Trump.

It is criminal fraud and misrepresentation.

So......If contending that a presidential election was stolen is illegal,
<><>where is Al Gore’s indictment?
<><>No Democrats have ever been charged for claiming that Bush was elected by hanging chads,
<><>for challenging his election both times in Congress.

No indictments for spreading lies and launching investigations
for false claims that Trump had been elected by the Russians.

Even as they themselves tarred Trump in order to
“create an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger.”

Not that we would know since there’s not even a still shot of the proceedings. Well except for a juvenile drawing. For all we know Trump walked in drank a coke and walked back out. Change my mind.

The number of Americans lawfully assembled in D.C. on January 6th, 2021 was between one million and two million.

Movie producer Samuel Bronston had gone bankrupt and was asked under oath in court by a lawyer for one of his creditors a series of questions about the many bank accounts the company has had in Europe.

One of them concerned whether he has had an account in Switzerland. “The company had an account in Zürich for six months”, he replied, and answered all other questions concerning Swiss bank accounts in the negative.

Later, it was discovered that he had indeed had a very active personal bank account in Geneva during the years he had been producing films in Europe.

Bronston was convicted of perjury by federal prosecutors who argued that his answer, while truthful in and of itself, was intended to mislead or evade.

After the appeals court upheld the conviction, Bronston v. United States reached the Supreme Court, which overturned the conviction on January 10, 1973.

RULING AIDED CLINTON-—Its ruling, that literally truthful yet technically misleading answers cannot be prosecuted as perjury, has formed an important part of jurisprudence on the matter ever since, even being invoked by President Bill Clinton’s attorneys when he was charged with perjury during his impeachment.
