Leaks of Message Coordination Chats Beset DeSantis Campaign

Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) presidential campaign is now beset by a steady stream of leaks of message coordination communications, yet another serious setback for the flailing candidate.

The latest leaks to Semafor show that the DeSantis campaign’s senior-most levels oversaw the creation of highly controversial Twitter meme videos that were then quietly distributed by campaign staffers out to anonymously-run Twitter accounts they called “anons” before being amplified by the campaign. One such video, which featured the use of a Sonnenrad behind DeSantis in it–a Sonnenrad is an image often used by Nazis–led to the ouster of one DeSantis aide named Nate Hochman. Hochman’s firing came amid a broader set of layoffs of dozens of DeSantis staffers that the cash-strapped DeSantis campaign was forced to make in July. But it turns out, leaked communications from DeSantis world show, that Hochman may not have been the responsible party for this video, and it might have been more senior campaign staffers including some people who still work for the governor.

So turns out that the DeSantis campaign dishonestly scapegoated Nate Hochman to take the blame over those viral videos and fired him over it – Despite the fact that the videos were actually approved by senior DeSantis staff. What absolute scumbags. pic.twitter.com/3HKSPh412U

The meme videos in question emerged from a “War Room Creative Ideas” group chat on Signal, an encrypted messaging app. The chat includes several high-level DeSantis staffers, including Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw, Press Secretary Bryan Griffin, and former research and data director Kyle Lamb.

As Breitbart News reported:

Over the weekend, a pro-DeSantis account tweeted a video bashing former President Donald Trump and uplifting Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

I am a Trump supporter 110% but I don’t think DeSantis would be a part of this. I would wager this is campaign staff acting on their own.

Could be and you are probably right.

That being said, the constant stream of bad behavior on those around DeSantis undercuts the complaint by DeSantis Supporters that Trump did such a bad job hiring people and that DeSantis would do better.

You hope he’s not part of this but if he’s not doesn’t it call into question his ability to hire better people than Trump?

If so, then it doesn’t speak well for DeSantis’ ability to pick good staffers — something DeSantis bots on FR are always hitting Trump over.

Their campaigns run like a cult and any leaks would be to fellow travelers in the media unless a Veritas or similar infiltration happened. GOP are more individualistic in interest so more likely to go rogue compared to the democrat herd and any leak is going to be amplified. Dems feel duty bound to infiltrate as well. It’s the herd, take no prisoners, mentality that makes them look strong and unified. There’s no ideological diversity allowed. At one point I remember it being said that party would never ever support a prolife Democrat candidate. This was ten years ago or more.

Democrats love selling the illusion of freedom without the problem of honoring it. They are fascists in their use of cancel culture, boycotts, doxing, deplatforming, censorship, rent-a-mobs, etc. Stay in your lane. Stay on the plantation. Or else. They love to bully and bullsh*t. You cannot take what a democrat says at face value. Ever.

They sell chronic misery as an absence of responsibility and offer blame in its place. It’s why they thrive in cities that have gone dystopian with crime and homelessness. They teach their constituents that they are helpless when the problems are culturally rooted. They treat them as feral, like outside pets. Broken window crime prevention is a real thing. Live and work in some of these areas and you’ll really get to know what’s going on.

There is NO OUTSIDE EXCUSE for Democrat run areas to be as miserable as they are. They control education, they control the regulatory apparatus and day to day machinery of government often both state and local around big cities. They condition their constituents with a steady stream of narratives that weaken independence.

He can kiss 2028 goodbye, and maybe even governor stint.

Weird how Desantis is a clear second in this race with no one else in double digits and yet article after article point to his campaign as failing. Not a mention of any of the 2 percenters. It’s all a pychops from Trump and the left. Neither want Desantis as the candidate.

He’s in his second term in Florida and wildly popular. If Trump is the candidate and he inevitably gets slaughtered why would that affect Desantis next time? Trumpism will be dead at that point sooner this fall when the campaign actually gets going.
