Oregon unexpectedly passed Draconian gun control laws. Caught a lot of people flat-footed. Sudden surge in demand clogged the system. It was weeks long, for a while. I just checked...they said if you buy in the morning, it should clear by 5.

There are a ton of heirloom guns out there that authorities have no clue they even exist.

I do not own any guns, nor have I ever owned any firearms at any time in my life not never ever.

No boating accidents and no burglaries.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I don’t believe we’re anywhere close to being out-gunned, but I do believe we might be surprised by how many militant leftists are armed, and even trained up. I know of one guy, a gun-grabber type all of his life, who, when Antifa was getting a lot of airtime, went out and bought his first gun and started hanging out and shooting with several older, well financed, losers from that group.

” . . . a groundbreaking study of those who lie to pollsters about firearms.”

And to further complicate matters, maybe those people are LYING about lying to pollsters. 🙃

I agree, there’s a lot of armed lefties out there, and as some recent events have shown, a good number of them are more wiling to use them on what they consider ideological threats.

“...of those who lie to pollsters about firearms.”

And to their Doctors or any other ‘Karen’ with ‘concerns.’

You’re just plain DUMB these days if you’re not protecting yourself and your loved ones and/or property.

Or neighbors or even strangers, should it comes down to it.

And it appears to be coming down to it. :(

Let’s Go, Brandon!

hardspunned :" It’s pretty bad when masses of Americans feel the sudden necessity to buy firearms in order to survive an election season.
I wonder how much more anarchy the left has planned for us in ‘24?"

I would like to see a poll about how many people lie to a pollster ?
and secondly, what subjects do they lie about ?
And lastly, are there any polls that are outside the pollsters need to know ?

“Wait ‘till they find out many Americans own multiple guns......I know people that have more than one gun safe......on guy I know has so many he had to turn a closet into a gun safe...........They’re gonna shit a brick.”

That Gun of the Month Club can really drive you out of the house pretty fast.

It was weeks long, for a while.

Did Oregon have long waiting periods or something? On the NICS side, if they haven't returned a 'deny' within three business days, the store can give you the firearm. The only reason you'd wait longer is a State law, or crappy places like Dick's won't do the three-day release date , they always wait for an 'approved'.

I never had to wait more than a few minutes. That was the norm, up until Measure 114 passed. Extreme demand created a 12 week backlog, at one point. Oregon goes through the State Police, I believe.

I have thought about this; however, I have one primary concern. What if said firearms, while perfectly legal now, become illegal through leftist, fifth column legislation in Washington that is rubber stamped by a changed supreme court that is far left/anti-2A?

Those previously legal firearms that may become illegal by defacto leftist legislation in the future will be a big red flag by some attorney who precedes over the deceased person’s will. I can easily see some lawyer saying: “I’m sorry, sir, but this this and this firearm listed and identified by serial #s became illegal under the “Common Sense gun ban Act of 2035”, etc. etc.” In otherwords, the heir will never get the guns and they’ll end up confiscated and destroyed by the local law.

“Do you lie to pollsters?”

“Yes”

Does that count as a “yes” or a “no”.

Lol.

That's why prudent older people should make advance arrangements to redistribute firearms ahead of time.
