Sounds like Turkey is really enforcing the Montreaux Convention.
Ben Affleck, Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin, or John Krasinski?
Yeah, yeah, Ukies week take back Crimea any day now!
Really, this time for sure!
Snake, Snake, Snake… how many times have you advanced the idea that “soon” Ukraine would be in Crimea? Are they paving the avenue of advance with Ukrainian bones? That would be a Neocon dream come true.
Where is the supposed “breakthrough in the south”?
Harrison Ford. Hands down.
The people in Crimea don’t even want want Ukraine running them. They identify with Russia.
capture rockets on the high seas? You’ll have to read closely and study the fine print. The US Navy has been inspecting cargos in the Arabian Sea since Gulf War I. Note that you haven’t heard about Somali pirates bothering anyone for quite some time. SOP is/was to check the boat, deep six any weapons, disable all but one engine, and leave them enough gas to get back to shore. Unless they fired they lived to tell about it so’s the word got passed.
Our guys typically capture weaponry and related stuff that can be used for training at places like Fort Irwin. Larger weapons and related milsup stuff is going to get confiscated and either deep-sixed or saved for an ally. Someplace/ Somewhere there is probly an inventory list of captured stuff but you will never find it. As a point of interest , tho, you can watch for ships leaving North Korea. They are always intercepted and inspected. And if they don’t turn on their ID beeper they might get sunk because, after all, they don’t exist——right?
Sounds like a USN or other nation interception of Houthi or Hezbollah supplies.
You can’t steal arms when you are at war. You simply seize them or capture them. The claim of felony action is again, by a reporter or writer, downright stupid. These people either don’t think or the simply propagandize or both.
“The people in Crimea don’t even want want Ukraine running them. They identify with Russia.”
Yes and no. While Crimea has ties to Russia (including significant naval facilities) there is also a sizeable number of pro Ukrainians living there. I remember seeing some documentaries about Crimea several years ago and it was pretty surprising to see how many ordinary people there considered annexation to be a mistake.
Get your talking points from the Kremlin?
Like the people of France and Poland didn’t want liberation as well in WW2?
This is ROFL material, thanks for the entertainment :-)
Were Crimeans really pro-Russian before annexation? Not at all, far from it !
You are right.
