The ruling classes of the Western nations are obsessed with sexual perversion, anti-white bigotry, and derision of Biblical values. So Putin makes the Sign of the Cross and attends Orthodox liturgy, in order to convince Western conservatives that he is Christian. He denounces sexual deviancy, for the same reason. Meanwhile, the CCP, which also suppresses deviancy, bribes Western officials, notably the Biden crime family, to weaken the Western militaries and to promote the ongoing destruction of Western industry and morals.
Thus, the Russians and Chinese are playing a massive game to overtake the U.S. and NATO. Perhaps our decadence makes it inevitable and even deserved. But a Chinese dominated world may be worse than what we have.

Religion in Russia was hit hard by it first being a branch of the government under the Tsar then being nearly eradicated by the Bolsheviks then becoming a branch of the state again, under Stalin and his successors from 1941 onwards.
Putin doesn’t love Russia, he loves his power.
He spent the 23 years of his dictatorship destroying Russia’s future. Instead of building up its people power, he focused on extraction of resources and selling them and that money lining up his and his cronies pockets.
The smartest Russians left as there is no business environment in Russia, just a nazi style control of industry by the centralized government.
He has out Russia in a dead end war and put it on the path to Chinese vassaldom.
