Sure, only on days when the weather is nice... which will never happen. It will always be on the worst days possible during peak load...
How about quiet Sundays? No aircraft overhead, no lawn equipment, no jet ski’s... no jake brakes, loud stereos, sporting events and other loud venues... No? Saves energy though.

Several years ago I saw an odd video of two women who were in a tropical place, doing weird workout moves while seated. One was droning on and on about the environment and then looked at the camera and said that any pregnant women who were watching should abort their babies ‘for the sake of the environment’.
What I don’t understand is why these wackos don’t start with themselves first. It is always others who need to sacrifice ‘for the better of society’. If they are so worried about the earth and consumption, well, these useless eaters need to take the first step and set and example by removing themselves from the gene pool.

I tell ya what. Instead of periodic blackouts for the general public, I am ready to propose the following to save da erf.
- a total ban on private jets
- a total ban on big yachts
- a limit of 3,000 square feet of heated/air conditioned living space per person
I know this is going to be painful. It will be very difficult for all of us to give up our private jets. I mean really, who wants to travel on the same plane as the smelly peasants? And giving up the ski chalet in Aspen, the Condo in Paris, the Condo in New York and downsizing the mansion in Malibu will be really difficult as will limiting myself to a 40 foot boat instead of a 150 foot yacht with a full staff will be difficult, but its just what we’ll all have to do.

Shut power off to California and New York during the summer would probably help a lot but if we could kill power to Congress all problems would be solved.

They won’t be occasional, and they will be mandated. So a few old folks will die in the heat every day at 6 PM, when the lights are out - the left considers that a plus, as they did when they sent the old folks to nursing homes to die in isolation.
