Let the homeless have them.

They’ve taken over most everything else in the inner cities.

Just surrender. They won the battle.

It’s what the Left wanted.

How many indicators do companies need to see before it dawns on them that we’re not going back to the office? They forced it on us and now we’ve discovered that we not only can do it, but really like it. So why go to the hassle and expense of commuting into an office?

Ultra expensive blue crapholes like San Francisco and NYC are taking it right in the shorts. Others will follow but as the most expensive and least livable, these two were always going to see a mass exodus.

So tech companies were too stupid to realize their own products would mean less office space would be needed?

As with the post just above this titled, “LA police union boss tells cops to leave the city: ‘Go somewhere that understands your worth’.” it seems than “leave the city” applies to tourists, investors, conventions, small and large businesses alike, and even residents seeking to move away.

Let Google and Meta and the other "progressives" enjoy their enclave until the time comes to pay the bill.... The BIG bill.

How can a company attract quality employees when the city has nothing to offer other than crime, perversion and violent ‘homeless’?

San Francisco’s a hellhole...

The owners of these buildings must be forced to convert them to suites for the homeless and illegal aliens.

Furthermore, they should be compelled to provide all services, food and other consumables without cost to the new residents.

After all, “Equity”!

Why aren’t Biden and Newsom snatching them up to house? All the wonderful illegal aliens coming in? Replace the house. All of them.

I wonder how much longer they can prop up the CRE market.
It should crash, and propagate through tons of banks.

“As a hybrid-first company, we are continuing to assess and optimize our space utilization to create more vibrant workspaces for our employees when they are on-site, while also achieving cost reductions,”

In what world does someone speak like this?

Translation - we rearranged the deck chairs on the Titanic and hope we don’t die when it sinks.

This is a direct result of bad Democrat policies. While they may still collect property tax on the building, they have lost the sales tax that was generated by the people who once occupied those buildings.

Socialist do not understand economics and you can not be a socialist if you do understand economics.

Businesses will leave, residents will leave, the city will collapse, the bums will leave. Then the savvy will move back into a cleaned-out city.

Now is the time to close the federal depts down as they are not as needed as they think they are.

Empty suit, empty suites: Joe Biden’s government of empty buildings
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/07/empty_suit_empty_suites_joe_bidens_government_of_empty_buildings.html

The evacuation of federal headquarters during the COVID-19 crisis appears to have become permanent and costly with up to 90% of several agency headquarters empty, according to a federal audit.

At least 6 of 24 Washington area headquarters are 90% empty, including several that manage federal office space and employees such as the General Services Administration and the Office of Personnel Management.
