Many pistols hold more than 10 rounds. And self-defense is only one reason why we have the 2nd Amendment.

You have the freedom to keep and bear arms *that we allow.

You have the freedom of speech *that we allow.

You have the freedom of religion *that we allow.

From my reading over the decades on this. self defense is absolutely not an issue. As is hunting. This is a political-social measure. The idea, though not explicitly stated, is to preserve an extrapolitical means of redress vs a government gone awry.

Its a license for revolution.

This is almost a unique thing in the world, and perhaps the only one. It is probably the only remnant of the revolutionary character of the US.

Anything democrats hate end up being called unconstitutional. Anything democrats like is called constitutional. That is how they work.

Similar law has been in CT since Newtown.

The premise is flawed, but can only be fixed by state congress by voting in better reps.

The premise is because of what is NOT SPECIFICALLY STATED in the second amendment, restrictions can dance around the Constitutional law with STATE LAWS.

This is the drawback to giving states rights (10th). Yet the too often ignored 9th amendment is the argument that lets both legal sides have a win but let the people decide by who they put into office.
