You can still use grandfathered high-caps, but only at authorized ranges and not for CCW. Plus, the high-cap mags have to be locked up separately from the gun while you travel there.

I’m sure the gangs and criminals are studying this law to make sure they follow its edicts!

The law is still on hold because a Harney County judge put a stay on it until a trial on it’s constitutionality can be held in September.

When 20 round mags are outlawed, only
outlaws will have 20 round mags.
These people think that if I grow my
fingernails to a 6” length, I could
very well defend myself against a grizzly.

Or could have been a decent nominee who was compromised after confirmation.

Anything democrats hate end up being called unconstitutional. Anything democrats like is called constitutional. That is how they work.

How much creative ballot counting would there need to be?

Ban whatever you want, most people are past caring. Illegal, illegitimate rules are to be ignored.

Immergut Decision - Large capacity magazines "are not commonly used for self-defense, and are therefore not protected by the Second Amendment..."

There is nothing about self defense in the Second Amendment.

Or about hunting.

Standard capacity magazines are in common use, have been in common use for more than 100 years, and are commonly used to defend against tyrants, which was the idea for the Second Amendment.

If this isn’t an “infringement”, I don’t know what is!

I HOPE TRUMP HAS LEARNED.

Similar law has been in CT since Newtown.

The premise is flawed, but can only be fixed by state congress by voting in better reps.

The premise is because of what is NOT SPECIFICALLY STATED in the second amendment, restrictions can dance around the Constitutional law with STATE LAWS.

This is the drawback to giving states rights (10th). Yet the too often ignored 9th amendment is the argument that lets both legal sides have a win but let the people decide by who they put into office.

At least two other magazine cases pending at the circuit level. Maryland’s was kicked back to circuit by SCOTUS for reconsideration. In other words, SCOTUS not amused by it. Illinois case has been heard by circuit. Not looking good with 3 judge panel but much better if we get en banc. Whatever, the issue will probably have to be ultimately decided by SCOTUS which is probably good. Takes too damn long though.

Again, automatic firearms are NOT outlawed. You can own a machine gun if you can pay the licensing fee and go through the massive application process.

Same legal logic with this “nose-under-the-tent” magazine number restriction.

Not my country. There is a reason I don’t live there.if challenged, the SCOTUS will take care of it.

The law is on the face of it unconstitutional.

After a hurricane, I had huge holes in my porch ceilings from the 90 mph winds. Unable to get anyone to fix it for 6 months afterwards, I was worried about easy access to my home so put up signs, ‘Trespassers will be shot’. I heard from a neighbor that parents were worried about their kids’ safety and whether or not it would be safe for them to trick or treat at my home. Not long after, I was approached by an anti 2nd amendment parent and was asked if I would help set up a roadblock into our neighborhood and help defend if needed. There had been reports of looting and violence as our city was far from being put back together from the destruction of the hurricane. I politely declined, saying that I was safe and that was good enough for me. And I had so many kids trick or treating that I ran out of candy!!

Those idiot liberals are screwed. Defunded police, no weapons and they have removed the ability of people to defend themselves. The criminals are going to be trucked in to a defenseless state and there is no one to help the citizens.
