As experienced professionals involved in direct care for the rapidly growing numbers of gender-diverse youth, the evaluation of medical evidence or both, we were surprised by the Endocrine Society’s claims about the state of evidence for gender-affirming care for youth (Letters, July 5). Stephen Hammes, president of the Endocrine Society, writes, “More than 2,000 studies published since 1975 form a clear picture: Gender-affirming care improves the well-being of transgender and gender-diverse people and reduces the risk of suicide.” This claim is not supported by the best available evidence.
The physicians who prescribe these horrible medications and perform these mutilating surgeries on children are a repulsive abomination. They are no different than “Doktor” Josef Mengele who tortured and killed defenseless people in the Nazi concentration camps. Decent, rational people must get out of their comfort zone and hold these criminals accountable for their actions and punish them severely.

Does it matter?
The girl that lived next door in my youth was a “Tom Boy.” She played with us boys and was very much our equal prior to her and our puberty. She rode horses and played with us as equals. By today’s standards she would have been a candidate for gender reassignment. Then puberty happened. Jana grew up to be an incredibly beautiful woman and 100% woman whom any man would desire.
To have taken that girl prior to puberty and guide her to an alternative life style as a man would have been evil and a crime and would have destroyed her. This was back in the early sixties and her parents were sane.
I do not care what an individual does to themselves once an adult. It is their choice even though an error. To due surgery on a minor for gender reassignment is just plain damn evil.
I cannot imagine a parent or surgeon OKing and doing these horrible surgeries.
When I think of my own children, a boy and a girl,I can’t imagine giving them harsh chemicals or operating on their precious little bodies. Having his tonsils out was difficult enough for my 8-year-old son and for me.
Is parental love gone now in the wake of woke?
In a country that legalized the slaughter of over 60 million babies, why should anyone be surprised if it legalizes the change sex meds and surgery for under aged children.

I tried to post Breitbart article about this this morning, but my stupid tablet closed my posting article window twice, after I’d been working on it for 20 minutes! I finally gave up. I bought a new tablet during Amazon Prime Day Sale. Hopefully, it is an improvement.
