iirc, many of the bodies were found AFTER the one girl freaked out and ran, causing a missing persons search.
Flat, but brushy marsh areas were no one really went, and thick cover.
Hope they found the right perp - this one’s been a long time coming.
Dr. Baden was being interviewed on Fox this morning. He did an autopsy on the first young victim.

I grew up on Long Island. Where the bodies were dumped is a desolate stretch on Ocean Parkway. It is on a barrier island separate from the mainland. My dad would occasionally drive Ocean Parkway coming home from visiting an aunt and my mom never liked going that way. She always thought it creepy. It’s not a place you would want to break down. Perfect place for dumping.

Not heard of it so I looked it up, yes, it’s based on that but also a movie called Lost Girls, and Long Island Serial Killer, prob others.

Lol. Yes you are missing something. It’s not on Long Island, it’s on the island next to Long Island with Gilgo beach on it.It’s located on a barrier beach on the south shore of Long Island, with Atlantic Ocean and Great South Bay frontage.
Might want want to check where this guy was in Oct/Nov of 2006. The East Bound Strangler, killed 4 sex workers. Bodies found in marshes off Atlantic City. Never pinned the Murders on anyone.

fictitious account for “Andrew Roberts” using an email that Heuermann also
accessed from his personal cellphone.

The dumping ground was poison-ivy-covered sand dunes. The architect's wife was out of the country.
Yes...male hairs from a burlap bag one of the victims was in matched DNA on a pizza box and crust they found near his Manhattan apartment. it's amazing what DNA can tell us.
The trial will be a must-watch!
I just watched Lost Girls, it’s only on Netflix. I have not seen Long Island Serial Killer, which is on Lifetime.
Alec Baldwin grew up right next door in a small unincorporated area of East Massapequa.
This story was of national interest because the woman whose disappearance triggered the search that found the first bodies was from Maine. The local articles here in Maine about her always tried to portray her as not a professional sex worker, but some trained by her boyfriend.
