Anti-Judicial reform protests turn anti-Messiah
Israel 365 News ^ | 7/9/23 | Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz

rotests against the judicial reform measures being proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition government took on religious overtones as protesters targeted MK (Likud) Ariel Kallner’s home in Haifa on Thursday night, plastering the neighborhood with posters proclaiming, “Here lives a messianic [believer].”

Kallner filed a complaint about the matter with the police. He responded to the protesters: “The anarchist cowards came in the dead of night and vandalized the residential building where I live and the bus stop across the street.” Kallner told Hebrew-language Maariv news, “Do you really think they will succeed in breaking me? A complaint will be filed with the police. We’ll see if the enforcement system in the ombudsman’s authority will also act against ‘other people’. My answer – enact all the reform laws, quickly and with all the force!”

There were also several demonstrations across the country, in front of the homes of ministers and other coalition members, including Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Member of Knesset Boaz Bismut, and Minister of Science Ofir Akunis.

Kallner also responded on Twitter with a quote from Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben Gurion.

“Zionism is a messianic movement,” Ben Gurion said. “This is perhaps the only word that fits it, that distinguishes it. It is a movement that works for the redemption of the people and the redemption of the world.”

I’ve been curious about one thing for some time now.

The Jews are still waiting for their Messiah. How do they know when He comes? What signs will He do to convince them He is the real deal and not a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I know Most Jews reject Jesus being the Messiah, but He was right about this one thing and that is MANY are going to come claiming to be Him. Then how do the Jews know when the real deal shows up on the scene? What Scripture is He going to fulfill to convince them?

Everyone will know it is the real Messiah (when he returns) because he will come on clouds.

The Jews will say, see we told you so, this is the real Messiah:)

Some Jews appear to have selected Marx as their Messiah.

Hmmmm, with what can be done digitally with images, I wonder if even that would be enough.

Unless people saw Him personally, even a video feed could be CG.

Daniel and Jesus refer to what they will do.

Accept the man who comes in their own name (John 5:43).

All of the warnings that were laid out in Scripture about NOT BELIEVING some dude who says “he is the one” is what Jesus was talking about. He was talking to Jews directly in that reference too, since the Messianic fervor will be exponential at that point.

There are already many claiming to be him right now.

As I understand it some Jews believe somebody other than Jesus is the Messiah.

There are two main prophetic pictures of the Messiah in Jewish scripture. One has him coming as a suffering servant of the Lord who is despised and rejected and killed for the sins of world. The other has him coming in the clouds with authority and ruling the world as a King.

The view among both Jews and Gentiles who believe Jesus was the Messiah and the view of the Jews who wrote the New Testament and of Jesus Himself is that He has fulfilled the first picture already and will come back to fulfill the second at a later time.

I am no expert on the view of those Jews that reject Jesus, but from what little I know of they may not focus on the first word picture very much and simply discount Jesus because his time on Earth so far did not fulfill the second. I do know that it is common for at least some of them to reinterpret some of the Suffering Servant prophecies that were seen as pertaining to the Messiah traditionally before Jesus came to not be about the Messiah after all. Notably Isaiah 53 which seems so much like a description of Jesus that its common for people to accidently suppose it must be from the New Testament. The argument is that it is about the Israel rather than the Messiah.

Lying Signs and Wonders:

Matthew 24:24 (Written to the Hebrews)
For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

2 Thessalonians 2:9

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,

Revelation 13:13-14
He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

Rabbinical Judaism sees the anointed one as not God but a warrior king like David, in fact, a descendant of King David who would secure the land of Israel for the Jewish people; bring peace and blessing to Israel and the world; rebuild the Temple on its historical site; and reinstitute the sacrificial system.

Their view is purely earth bound.

That’s also why He was initially rejected

Not all Jews reject Yeshuah Messiah. There is a growing trend toward accepting him as Messiah, world wide.

When he does return in the sky, the Jews will realize how mistaken they were...as stated by the old prophets.

Even somè Christians will fall for AntiChrist.

I’ll stop here, but I could go on at length.

“ Some Jews appear to have selected Marx as their Messiah”

Not as many Jewish people as gentiles believe that, but, yes, falling for that stupidity is a common failing among all descendants of Adam and Noah.

100% agree.

Romans 9 talks about it, which Paul wrote. Salvation was always for the Jews FIRST, then Gentiles (Romans 1).

Galatians and the Book of Hebrews goes into further details.

Zechariah 10:6

You might be low-balling the number IMHO.

There are A LOT of Jews who have turned to Christ for Salvation. The past 40 years it’s exploded.

I might have misunderstood your post - you may have been referring to everybody, not just Jews as being descended from Adam/Noah.

I once had somebody posit to me the argument that Gentiles are older than Jews since God chose Abram from among the nations to create HIS OWN Nation.

It took me awhile to adjust to that paradigm shift.

Yes, I mean everyone, both Jews and Gentiles, when I refer to descendants of Adam and Noah. We all have certain common ancestors.

Hence why the portion of the Law that applies to all peoples is the Noahdic Law.

Large numbers of Jews followed Jesus after tye destruction of the temple in 70 AD as prophesied by Jesus in the Olivet discourse.

That’s why the council of jamnia convened to stop using the Septuagint and its Deuterocanonical (aka Apocrypha) books as they promoted a Christian favouring view.
