desanctus is done in Florida...
There are no major insurance companies left in the Florida market, and there’s talk that next year, rates could be 150% of this year’s rates on property insurance alone.
And so far, desanctus is out campaigning, instead of trying to solve the problem.
What might the solution look like, to the property insurance problem being described here? Do any US states offer and adminster “pool” insurance to all applicants, not just the high risk uninsurable? I wonder if other socialist countries offer govt backed and run property insurance? Thise that still recognize private property rights....

Who knew State Farm was not a major insurance company. You are just dazzling us.
He has little kids of his own and it seems that he is doing lots of stuff for kids. Which, don’t get me wrong, is real good thing, but he needs to get crackin for the rest of us. And yes the insurance coverage and rates are a problem…big time. Lots of folks are moving here but getting sticker shock over that.
I probably should say almost no major insurance companies left in Florida..... they may continue existing policies, but don’t expect many new policies from them. infact, many companies are cancelling existing policies, and people are ending up on universal causality, sort of the insurer of last resort.
