Well the market was down 1% on inflation worries. For a large cap stock like unilever, can you really do cause and effect analysis where the difference is political rather than general market trend?

This isn't the first time they've shot themselves in the foot in their hellbent pursuit of leftwing fashion. Back in the '90s they announced with great hoopla that they were looking for a non-white to be their new CEO. Yay! They waded thru some 20,000 applications and chose black businessman Robert Holland. Again with the hoopla. He lasted about 18 months and then was quietly shown the door sans hoopla.

The one stock I own is Arbor Realty Trust. Short sellers did a number on them a couple of months ago, taking the stock down from $14 to $10. I bought more shares at 10. After reporting strong earnings and increasing their dividend, the the stock price rebounded to $15 last week.
IMO, this story is a nothing burger. It might have legs if it’s taken down 15%.
