It’s a stupid article and Brietbart should know better. 1) The “experts” only marginally fit that description and 2) NATO membership for Ukraine, while they are in he middle of a war is a non-starter. All members have to approve and a good half dozen would vote no from the outset. So nobody is going to make a serious attempt to bring this up.
The more eastern members will vote no. And that’s crucial as they’re the staging areas.
I think I’ve read NATO has provisions disallowing such jiggery-pokery. It’s akin to trying to buy fire insurance whilst the house is already burning.
One wonders what is so dirty that everyone wants to shovel billions over there.
Because ordinarily they don’t give a shit about anybody. At any given time there are wars going on all over the world. And this time they are rattling the cage of someone who can hit back. Hard, arguably the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet. I’m sure they know what they are doing. Iraq, and the 20 year debacle in Afghanistan, particularly the orderly, expert withdrawal has all the hallmarks of a steady, patient leadership we can all feel confident in.
