A supermarket in New York City is protecting $6 ice cream cartons with bolted plastic tops to prevent shoplifters from stealing them this summer, the New York Post reported.
The Upper West Side’s Fairway supermarket is protecting its Häagen-Dazs pints with locked lids that can only be removed with a device at the cash register. The theft prevention lids are to “help maintain the lowest possible cost,” according to a sign posted in the market’s freezer section.

These are likely the same people who fell for the scamdemic.
Who are vaxxed and boosted.
Who ratted out their friends, neighbors, local business during the lockdown.

They say crime rates were higher in the 1970’s and 80’s, but stuff like this did not happen.

Retail anti-theft engineering is a growth industry. Buy stock.
That’s what I thought too. They need them behind locked doors and have the customer pay first. Just like at gas stations.
When you’re paying for gas that is.
I was just going to say that. Personally, I would use a carpet knife which is sharper and more precise. Are the demographics in question really unable to figure this out? Or they think knives are only for stabbing?

New grocery anti-theft containers will have small, timed explosive devices that will activate when motion detectors sense they have been moved.
Shopper will have one minute to pay at a U-Scan, get the five digit code and shut down the timer or it will explode.

Law enforcement agencies say victims are far more likely to comply with the criminal if confronted by a knife than a gun.
