The same FAA controls private air traffic as commercial - blaming the FAA is BS, its the same workload for the controller no matter how big the aircraft is.

Yes and no. The smaller jets tend to fly into smaller airports where passengers get on and off without the punishing time schedule at gates of the large airports where the larger jets fly into.
Many of those smaller airports are outside Class A airspace which is the biggest headache for controllers.
