ROME — Pope Francis stunned the faithful this weekend when he welcomed some 200 avant-garde artists in the Sistine Chapel, including photographer Andres Serrano, creator of the controversial “Piss Christ” work showing a crucifix submerged in a glass of urine.
The pontiff received the artists to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vatican’s collection of contemporary art, telling them that like the biblical prophets, “you confront things that at times are uncomfortable; you criticize today’s false myths and new idols, its empty talk, the ploys of consumerism, the schemes of power.”
“You can see things both in depth and from afar, like sentinels who strain their eyes, peering into the horizon and discerning deeper realities,” the pope told the assembled artists. “In doing so, you are called to reject the allure of that artificial, skin-deep beauty so popular today and often complicit with economic mechanisms that generate inequality.”

I honestly dislike the hypocrisy within the Catholic church. They openly condemn homosexuals and pedos, yet spend millions covering up those acts within their clergy. Well in the past, nowadays they seem to promote it, maybe thats to calm down the lawsuits and apease the agenda.
Director Kevin Smith, granted a lefty but a Catholic, makes a movie (Dogma), and recieves death threats from the Catholic side for a humorous view of that hypocrisy in his film. Yet a man that puts Christ in a jar of piss and calls it art is praised by the dope...I meant poop...Pope, knew I would get the spelling right eventually.
I’m amazed Piss Christ is still alive, 30 years later.
This Pope is such a disgrace to the church, and more
importantly the Holy Trinity.
I hope the next one is more like John Paul from the Reagan

Has any Pope ever celebrated and honored someone who blasphemed Christ himself such as Serrano? Is there anything too sinful for this Pope to embrace? No wonder millions of people have fallen away from the church.
Strange as it may seem to some, but Bergoglio has little regard for Jesus CHRIST.
That brings to mind the Gospel story of the woman with hemorrhage who touched Jesus’s cloak out of faith she would be cured, and then Jesus immediately turned and punched her out.
