Does anybody really deny that he’s right?
The controversy is supposedly about “gender” as something distinct from biological sex.
“Gender” refers to words, not people. It isn’t so common in the English language, but in some languages like Spanish, there are feminine and masculine references to things, or something. Sex characteristics in humans are Male or Female, or very rarely indeterminate in tragic birth defects - hermaphroditic.
Anyway, it is beyond bizarre a scientist at a university would be fired for a plain statement of fact. It isn’t a matter of debate, nor is it a religious issue. What happened to the much vaunted system of Tenure?
Our universities are plainly, clearly and utterly FUBAR. Profoundly sad and does not bode well for the future.
