China is inherently corrupt and their kind of corruption will doom the market for their aircraft. They’re incapable of building safety into their vehicles as we see with their cars and high speed trains.
No way would I trust a jetliner of theirs.
But I expect they might make a decent crop duster...maybe.

Not everyone in the world is as safety-obsessed as is the US.
And, as we replace our manufacturing meritocracy with “equity”, expect less safety in our own products.
I know I am voting for the meteor at this point.
Corner-cuttting is built into their mentality in every aspect. It’s why their 5th gen fighters and aircraft carriers can’t compete. Sometimes you can get away with cutting corners, sometimes you can’t (see OceanGate Titan).

In my youth, if something was made in Japan it was crap.
But that changed in part due to the work of Edwards Deming and his gospel of statistical quality control.
The Japanese give an award in his name for QC.
