Women in our society have traditionally been treated with a unique honor and respect. Were we always treated fairly? Not entirely -- there was a time when we couldn’t vote. There was a time when women couldn’t own property. True. But since forever men have been showing us, even in small ways, that what we have to offer society is paramount. We can make babies and without babies, mankind cannot fulfill even the most basic mandate -- multiply and fill the earth.
In my misspent youth I found Gloria Steinem inspiring and myself ill-used. This phase petered out quickly because my life as a stay-at-home, go-to-night-school wife and mom was really pretty nice. And the more history I read, the more of the Bible I digested, the more I came to appreciate that I was doing the most important thing I could be doing -- raising amazing children.
We humans seem to have done that “filling the earth” thing well, and for the most part, at least in western civilization, we have raised our children well.
But things changed during the 60s and 70s. The birth-control pill followed by Roe vs. Wade in 1973 set off massive alterations. Yes, those alterations gave us the freedom to bear only as many children as we wanted, when we wanted, but it also left us dealing with a different mandate -- to have sex whenever with whomever. Our precious place as God’s assistant in the giving of life evaporated.
Time was when a woman had a valid and compelling reason for saying “No.” It was an understandable reason. Time was when marriage was necessary to provide for the inevitable pregnancies in a long-term relationship, but now it’s just a cultural quaintness, a last vestige of romantic protocol.

Feminism has ruined a lot of women’s lives with it’s false ideology. Lot of really lonely and alienated single women out there because of this. And they are going to be single for a very, very long time.
And frankly, a lot of men are just as screwed up as the women.
I was thinking of a different verb.
Women can ‘’make’’ babies?
Interesting. How do they do that?

The feminist movement has destroyed the lives on Millions of women. I am in my 60’s and the women that bought into the feminist movement are the loneliest and unhappiest people in America. At my Age if I went to a local bar, the majority of the cat ladies will drop their shorts just by saying hello to them because they now want a Man to take care of them after they destroyed their lives and are living alone, broke, desperate and lonely, except for their cats.

White males managed to keep from a human-ending nuclear war (although they did have close calls). We’ll soon find out if women are capable of the same, as they’re essentially running everything in Europe and in key decision-making positions in DC.
Feminism tells women to have a career and screw their way through their 20s. Then find a “nice” guy, settle down and have babies. Then maybe get bored and divorced in 10 or 15 years and take half the poor sap’s money.
Problem now is that the nice guys are wise to this deal and are turning it down. There’s no benefit to them.
Absolutely correct and for my wife and I, divorce is NOT an option. We both took an oath before God til death do us part, and I aim to see it through one way or another.

They didn’t have these roles in lands there were no white males.
That is all in the distant past. Move on.
The white male patriarchy was better than the suicidal civilization that we have we have now.

There was a black bow-tie wearing Nation of Islam guy talking about the family unit, and he said that the Nuclear Family, where the mother would fight with her life to protect her child, and a father would fight with his life to protect both the mother and the child (I have to paraphrase) was an excellent refutation to Marxists who want to destroy the Nuclear Family unit.
When Leftists make Nation of Islam speakers seem completely sane by comparison, that shows you how far the Left has gone off the rails.

This is not freedom. People of ordinary means don’t benefit from breaking down traditional roles as much as the elites. These are constant attacks against our civil society which is the bedrock of our real freedoms. When there’s no rules, the elites become tyrants and we become slaves.
The first statement is only partly true. Women were allowed to vote in some states after the American Revolution. Temporarily blocked in the 2nd half of the 19th century, but not for long in the grand scheme of things. Moreover, women had a lot more influence than you would think over their husbands' votes. The smart ones did it very subtly; the dumb ones tried bribery or shaming or the Lysistrata method.
The second statement is completely false. Women have always been able to own property at English (and American) common law as a "femme sole" - that is to say a single woman of legal age, or a widow. *Married* women ("femme couvert") could not own property separately from their husbands, because the husband by law was responsible for all their debts - so they could not incur debt without his permission. That was the original reason for legal separation - the husband put a notice in the paper that he had separated from his wife and was no longer responsible for her debts.
