3 Things Making Gen Z the Loneliest Generation
https://www.psychologytoday.com ^ | August 16, 2022 | Ekua Hagan

A connected world that’s leaving so many feeling disconnected is counterintuitive and troublesome, yet it’s humanity’s new reality. And this new reality is impacting the next-generation workforce at an alarming rate. Seventy-three percent of Gen Z report feeling alone either sometimes or always—the highest level of any generation.

The mental health challenges experienced by Gen Z are like nothing any other generation has faced. Only 45 percent of Gen Z report “excellent” or “very good” mental health, which is the lowest of any generation. Ninety-one percent of Gen Z adults say they have experienced at least one physical or emotional symptom because of stress, such as feeling depressed or sad (58 percent), or lacking interest, motivation, or energy (55 percent). And 68 percent of Gen Z report feeling significant stress about the future.

I happen to believe that this is God’s plan.

Civilization is coming to an end.. and I, for one, can’t wait.

The evil in this world is about to meet the answer of God in the form of a apart eruption, perhaps even micronova.

And I don’t believe God wants babies to suffer through it. So his people are inexplicably moving away from procreation for now.

The other day I read a new article: “Nearly a Third of Gen Z Favors the Government Installing Surveillance Cameras in Homes”

Sounds like Gen Z news to get their heads out of Tik Tok and social media in general and eyeball what is going on in the world in terms of the rise of government and UN power grabs and what happens to people after they give up their freedom to them.

Loss of freedom in Australia:

“And the 2019 CIVICUS Monitor, a global research collaboration that tracks fundamental freedoms in 196 countries, has downgraded Australia from an “open” country to one where civil space has “narrowed”, citing new laws to expand government surveillance, prosecution of whistleblowers, and raids on media organisations.”

Soon coming to the US?

Psychology Today is one of the premiere sources of Pseudoscientific claptrap. Believe nothing they publish.

The fattest generation too. You could throw in laziness too and odds are that is true. Maybe add in dumbest/stupidest generation also. Just about everyone on this board attended the School of Hard Knocks as things were different then.

Yeah - plagues, war, famine, slavery - nothing compared to Gen Z discovering that TikTok and OnlyFans might not pay their bills and they might need to get real jobs.

Put the smart phone down and for out and make REAL physical friends, not just internet friends.

However, it has been widely reported Generation Z has a changing culture and mindset today that is vastly different from what previous generations experienced.

Perhaps the reason, at least partly so, has to do with a Gallop poll in 2021 which found only 35% of Generation Z were affiliated with a church. Those immersed in a Christian church community seldom display any of the negative feeling as do today’s “Zers.”

If Generation Z was to be the last generation due to faulty interpretation of the Mayan calendar ending (December 2012), what will the next generation be called?

Z II?

Z dos?

Z Redux?

RE: okay for surveillance cameras in homes (as Orwell’s 1984, of course).

But part of the major strike by UPS employees is “and remove surveillance cameras from inside trucks.”
Once read the majority of cameras in workplaces are to watch employees, not deter criminals come in.

Everybody Knows
song by Leonard Cohen

And everybody knows that the Plague is coming
Everybody knows that it’s moving fast
Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shining artifact of the past

Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there’s gonna be a meter on your bed
That will disclose
What everybody knows

There are pros and cons to Navel Gazing. All activities this one should be done in moderation.

Sometimes the best solution for loneliness is the easiest one: do something for someone else or something other than yourself.
Stay busy for a while. Dont keep focusing on the ominous or that which has no one answer.

One of the new letters in On Beyond Zebra, by Dr. Seuss, was the letter Spazz. Just saying.

“The evil in this world is about to meet the answer of God”

What if it takes 80 more years?

I was hoping to retire, and maybe get a nice little place in the pines, with a mountain stream on it loaded with native trout.

I wasn’t so much hoping for my last 50 years to be eating grass and working in a mining camp.

A little selfish, I know.

I think most people buy these cameras themselves and install them and hook them to the internet. I saw a guy look at his cameras on his phone the other day.

The Gov won’t have to do anything but offer free monitoring service!

Since all computers have built in cameras me wonder if the government spy agencies can access them and spy on folks anyway.
