It’s not someplace like Afghanistan, Somalia or Iraq, where the USA can just cut and run and the arrogant deep State carries on like nothing happened

This time there will be a price to be paid

--- "It's becoming apparent isn't it? The pro-West propaganda does not add up. Time to pull out of this fiasco."

Kudos. One may look historically to the last bunch of US-led wars, in which this same timeline occurred. Like it or not. We won the Vietnam war, right? The Afghanistan was? Right? How's that Syria thing going? How're the Sudan and Somalia adventures doing? Libya? Fiasco aplenty to which to point. How about recent wins?

The military industrial complex doesn’t make money by winning wars any moreso than big pharma does developing cures. it’s all about feeding the addiction.

“Therefore, it is imperative for our military and political leadership to carefully consider these issues, assess the advantages and disadvantages, and muster the courage to take decisive actions,” Yakubets said.

Well, hope he get paid well to show up with his briefcase and spout inane expositions.

it will take us decades to liberate our territories

Which will mean a decades-long stream of U.S. taxpayer trillions with 10% to the big guy(and his beneficiaries).

So pretty much all by design.

"That’s kind of what I’ve said from the beginning, Ukraine doesn’t have the manpower or armaments to win a conventional war but they could inflict real harm on the Russians by using a viet cong style guerilla war strategy and bleed them thru a thousand cuts"

**********************************************************

Russia is fully aware of that. Only the Russian speaking areas, east of the Dnieper and the south coast all the way to Moldova will become part of Russia. The fanatic Ukrainian speakers in the west will have their own defanged non-NATO landlocked state when this is over.

U.S. says Ukraine counteroffensive could be long, and at a “high cost”

The Ukraine government does not have enough men left for a long counteroffensive. It is now or never, as far as ejecting the Russians from the south and eastern provinces.

With Russian spinning up their tactical nuclear weapons, it is probably going to be never.

The Assault on Baghdad was one of the most gripping movies I ever saw.

The US won that battle spectacularly.

Then turned around and lost the war.

I think Ukraine’s only chance is Russian morale. How many Russians really support this or even know what’s going on? How long will Russians support a draft for this “special military operation?” What is Russia fighting for that they could not have simply negotiated? But of course. This is the most profitable war in history with 10% to “The Big Guy” and his cronies.

--- "The US won that battle spectacularly. Then turned around and lost the war."

Precisely. Perhaps more precisely, walked away after "winning." A scenario repeated multiple times, with history as our guide.

--- "The military industrial complex doesn't make money by winning wars any moreso than big pharma does developing cures. it's all about feeding the addiction."

Also, precisely.

Therefore the real war is against those who would actually find a cure, affect a cure, and then no longer require the cure. The same structure to this is occurring with software sellers, who want to rent / lease software rather than sell, because "income streams" and assuring income streams" is the outright goal. Munition, injections or software, keep them wanting more.

Almost everybody.

How long will Russians support a draft for this “special military operation?” ===

Russians are nation of warriors descending from Vikings and Golden Horde together. SO there are a lot of volunteers. No need to draft anybody.

What is Russia fighting for that they could not have simply negotiated?===

Putin did try to negotiate whole time from 2014-2022. West refused. Even where agreement was reached then West had undernimmed or broke it.

SO Russia was convinced by West that the matter can’t be negotiated. Only war will decide it.
