"I call BullS#$%T on this story. AB would never do something like this without depleting inventory first. If this was the plan, they would have scaled back production and reduced the product that’s in the pipeline. They didn’t do this. Indeed, they are trying to figure out how to offload the inventory their distributors have. This story may be an employee’s view of things, but he knows nothing about how you remove a product from the line."

I dunno Jack, you make a solid argument, but ... InBev intentionally gave the account to a 39-year-old woke woman, who then bragged about what she was about to do to the brand.

"Heinerscheid gave an interview in which she described her efforts to move Bud Light away from a “fratty” and “out-of-touch” image and attract new customers with a more “inclusive” approach.

Bud Light later blamed the partnership on a “third-party ad agency,” though Heinerscheid’s boss Daniel Blake was also placed on leave in the midst of the debacle."

I do believe Plan A -- let's piss off Joe 32-pack Butt Light drinkers -- 'got away from them', but who says destroying the brand wasn't Plan B.

As I recall from my marketing classes (many, many years ago) the biggest consumers of beer are the one and two six pack at a time crowd. The fruity sippers aren't the people it pays to focus on.

So what if they got those transvestite people? They wouldn't drink enough Bud Light to make a significant increase in sales. It was more of a culture wars things, (let's be cool) and because they live in the bubble, they are incapable of thinking it through.

On the other hand, maybe their marketing research concluded that transvestites are big-drinking alcoholics. Which, when you think about it, might make sense.

I think that the decision to give the product marketing to a junior, woke, manager was simply a bad decision by senior management. If the fallout was Plan B, I don’t think other execs would also be on the chopping block.

This is not a normal EOF (End of Life) for a product line. Indeed, I can’t think of a more expensive way to do it as the boycott now seems to be spilling over into other A-B product lines.

I am glad to see those of us who are fed up with this woke agenda doing something about it. I recently added Target and Walmart to by No-Buy list and I hope millions of others are doing the same.
