She's an egomaniac and a grifter.
There are a lot of egomanics and grifters in conservatism. It's been that way ever since Rush proved there was money in conservative media.

But he inspired hordes of wannabes whose main, or sometimes sole, reason for conservative activism is to win fame and fortune selling books and landing radio and TV gigs.
