Surely the thought crossed this nurse’s mind that she’s giving care to a ruthless killer. Not a scowl or a “how could you?”
If we took that attitude nobody convicted and in jail would get any medical care.
If we jail someone and take away their rights, we assume responsibility for them, since they are no longer free.
Since torture is frowned upon in our society, we are stuck with being humane to humans that are less than animals.
Perhaps we are too humane?
I’m an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth sort of guy.
But I don’t trust our justice system.
