I won’t name the employer but when an arsonist was setting fires at my campus the building where I worked (1980s) had threats. One building burned to the ground. More than one of the evacuations were the result of actual fires caught in time but a few were false calls.
Shockingly, it was revealed later that the university got bored and fed up with paying staff time for people standing at another building during evacuations, so the bosses DIDN’T TELL US during some. They risked my life and others and the building in order to save a little money.
I hadn’t thought about that, among my many life grudges for which I did not get revenge.

On one run the center knew the kid had grabbed a large kitchen knife but didn’t let staff know. Neighbors to the ‘youth center’ would listen to our radios (naturally enough!) so the powers that be didn’t want to them to know an armed escapee was on the loose. The guy who picked him up later found the knife in his truck. All of us were pissed.
