I know. It’s just the ones that were responsible should have paid along the way. Your wife did what she needed to, to get forgiveness. People also join the military to get loan forgiveness. I don’t fault them nor your wife.

Thanks, FRiend. I got my bachelors and masters degrees, with no student debt, thanks to the Army. ROTC scholarship and GI Bill paved the way.

My active duty commitment, in retrospect, was a dream. Instead of Finance Corps, and commanding a desk, the Army made me an Air Defender. What a journey! Platoon Leader (for 3 platoons), XO, Battalion Supply Officer, all while living in a small town along the Mosel River for 4 years. I'd like to think I paid back my debt in spades.

The democrat just got the green light for 4 trillion dollars spending until 2025 and you can bet your ass they will spend it before the end of 2024.
