The government sure doesn’t mind dumping thousands of gallons of liquid manure into the surface/ ground water and contaminating it.

I was curious about Wyoming farming myself. Its top agricultural products are:

Cattle and Calves – $1.16 billion: A steer typically weighs about 1,000 pounds and yields about 450 pounds of edible meat.
Hay – $143 million: Sheep and goats refuse to eat trampled hay, but cows and horses will gobble it up.
Hogs – $56.4 million: Pork is the most widely eaten meat. It represents about 42 percent of all meat eaten in the world.
Sugar Beets – $40.3 million: Sugar beets were first recognized as a valuable sweetening plant source in the 1700s.
Barley – $38.8 million: Barley has the most fiber of all the whole grains. In fact, some varieties contain a whopping 30 percent fiber.
Chicken Eggs – $32.7 million: U.S. poultry farms provide about 10 percent of the world’s egg supply, or 75 billion eggs each year.
Corn – $28.4 million: Field corn is different from the corn we eat. Hard and dry, it’s used to feed livestock and make ethanol.
Dairy Products – $24.5 million: A dairy cow produces about 6.3 gallons of milk each day and 350,000 glasses of milk in a lifetime.
Dry Beans – $22.4 million: Americans eat about 8 pounds of beans per person per year, with pinto and navy beans being the most popular.
Wheat – $18.5 million: A bushel of wheat yields 42 one-and-a-half pound loaves of white bread or 90 one-pound loaves of whole-wheat bread.

Were they specific about the type of pine?

Stone pines produce pine nuts, and take a while to mature. He could’ve gotten 10 years of payments, then had an orchard ready to harvest from.

i don’t really remember, I remember a number of years later selling them to a timber company who clear cut them, then we replanted pines and ended up selling them years later.
