On Friday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) wrote the FBI demanding they turn over a document alleging a bribery scheme involving then Vice President Joe Biden.
The document in question is not classified.

Not much they can do though. Who is going to investigate the FBI and DOJ? And who is going to prosecute them?
The Congress needs a “police” that is only allowed to investigate and prosecute the executive branch of gov’t. Specifically, the DOJ and FBI (or any other law enforcement executive branch agency).

They already have that. If McCarthy had any balls he’d declare Wray in Contempt and jail his ass. The House has a nice little cell in the basement for that very purpose.

Unless I’m mistaken congress just gave them a big payday not long ago.
There is only one person to get our law and order back.. TRUMP .... and they are trying to indict him to keep the one person from taking them out.

McCarthy is trying to figure out how little he can do and still maintain the approval of his conservative bloc. I’m still hoping that he’ll demonstrate some real intestinal fortitude in confronting the criminals that are taking down our country.

They’ll release them right after they release JFK’s files, which was another broken Trump promise btw.
Defund them. That’ll get their attention
The U.S. House of Representatives has full authority to request any documents it want. Failure to fulfill such requests is contempt of Congress:
The criminal offense of contempt of Congress sets the penalty at not less than one month nor more than twelve months in jail and a fine of not more than $100,000 or less than $100.
That’s the only leverage. Slash the budget for the DOJ, brutally.
There’s no longer “a few bad apples”, “some fine, upstanding agents”, “the problem is the leadership”.
It’s way past that point. The Republic hangs in the balance.
If the good apples are good they will find LE jobs at other agencies (I’m sure there are but they are currently in the wrong place)
