Actually, I think the form of government where government is closely alligned with big business is more what has been referred to as Fascism. That is what Nazi Germany had. Socialism/Communism professes to be aligned with workers and “the people”. In either case there is a proferred elite which has or controls most of the power and the riches.

There are also some countries identified as Democratic Socialists where the rich are not quite so rich and the lower classes have a more reasonable level of comfort. THe key there is having enough Democracy so the leaders have to pay attention to sharing the wealth. Also sometimes the leaders are not as greedy for great wealth since they have never lived or feared ending with a dirt poor existence. Also some of these countries promote a greater ethical sense that sharing a good life for all is a religious/moral value.
