If F16 fighter jets are used in Ukraine in the near future the pilots will be from NATO not Ukraine. The people servicing and repairing the jets will be from NATO not Ukraine. The addition of the F16 will not change the outcome of the war. It could escalate the war but not change it.

The US has supported the Saudis for decades despite their own array of abuses. No moral outrage. The US has invaded Syria with zero invitation — that being the next location post Libya Russia refused to allow through the UN Security Council.

Good write-up, but it’s not quite the reason to oppose Russia, it’s the reason that THEY, the Neocons, oppose Russia.
What they fear, more than anything, is a world where the Western countries are stuck heading into Third World status due to their energy (and now also beef) insanity, while Russia leads the rest of the world to prosperity, by supplying them with cheap, reliable, and plentiful oil, gas, coal, and other resources.
And, to the Neocons running our government, preventing the above is worth World War 3, if it comes to that, at least based on their behavior so far.

This is so dumb. A guarantee like this cannot be made. What if Russia declares Ukraine the Russian Mainland (which I believe they are doing)?
Things can get out of hand. Like they did when Hillary gave shoulder fired missiles to Libyan rebels, leading to deaths of Americans.
And, with US agreement- allowing Russia (no longer the Soviet Union since 1989) to get Ukrainian nukes that were Russia’s, and... allowing the new Russia to be on the Security Council of the UN along with allowing the Chi-Coms to sit on same. Any one Security Council member can veto the votes of all the rest. THE USA allowed this!
