Cruz returns to the viral internet meme that gained popularity in 2016
Sen. Ted Cruz this week leaned into a long-running joke that paints him as a possible suspect behind the infamous Zodiac Killer murders in the late 1960s.
It was reported on Wednesday evening that the FBI had confirmed the identity of the serial killer to be Air Force Veteran Gary Francis Poste, who died in 2018.
"[T]his is absolutely true," Cruz quipped on Twitter while linking one of the news articles about the development.

Ask inspector Callahan.
I like Ted. He is funny.
He sure is.
Viral JOKE? B...b..b..b..but Trump’s publishing buddy said it was TRUE!
Which one?
Cruz gained my respect.
1.) During all this Covid nonsense, he actually attempted to address real issues, such as our dependence on rare earth metals from the PRC. But the news mostly ignored this.
2.) After Cruz lost to Trump, he did not fall into his back and in fact came to his support on several occasions.
3.) After J6 Cruz didn’t do the typical RINO thing like Mitch McConnell and many others where they basically jump on board of a Democrat political purge which was largely drummed together by a MSM.
Cruz picks his battles and doesn’t jump on every BS issue.
I think Cruz is one of the better Senators. He is a brilliant lawyer. Dershowitz said Cruz was the best law student he ever had. If he were 10-15 years younger, he’d be an awesome Supreme Court pick.
He is 52. Plenty young
But I think he is more important as a Senator
Poste is not even a suspect and no DNA links him to anything Z related.
This group has been making this claim for years.
I liked Ted’s cameo in the Babylon Bee ‘California-Texas’ video. He dropped the Zodiac notes. Hilarious.
The guy who published National Enquirer
I am no expert on this, but yeah.
bkmk
Zodiac Killer? DeSantis.
Also, DeSantis’ father killed JFK, and DeSantis’ wife is ugly.
