I am generally a reliable even predictable supporter of LEOs.
Tazing a 95 year old lady suffering with dementia with a knife leaves me speechless. Is anyone doing LEO training anymore? I’m 61 and I’m sure I could disarm grannie before she even knew I had her pig sticker.
The cops probably did the right thing.
You wouldn't think a withered away 86 year old, such as my grandfather with dementia, could be a problem.
They must get a flow of adrenaline at times that makes them incredibly strong.
Under the circumstances, the taser may have been the best thing to use.
Honestly disarming my 95 year old mother would have been a breeze for me. No taser required.
You might also break her arm and dislocate her shoulder. If she has thin skin so common in in the elderly, just grabbing her wrist could seperate it from her flesh.
My demented granny nearly killed an aid by strangling them from behind with pantyhose. The elderly demented an be very hard to care for because they are both fragile and dangerous.
Sometimes there are no good options.
She wasn’t carrying a knife. Look at the weasel words
