Trump Endorsed Daniel Cameron Wins Kentucky GOP Primary – DeSantis, Cruz, Pompeo Endorsed Candidate Places Third

President Trump endorsed Daniel Cameron in the Republican primary for the Kentucky governor’s race. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Ted Cruz, Mike Pompeo and Vivek Ramaswamy endorsed candidate Kelly Craft. Cameron won, Craft came in third.

altKelly Craft is a big donor to the establishment Republican Party, hence all of the major donor-fueled Republican candidates supported her.

Mrs. Craft outspent her opponents more than 10:1 spending more than $8.1 million, while the MAGA candidate Daniel Cameron spent just over $771 thousand and had the full support of President Donald Trump.

Does this sound like a familiar pattern? Now, watch what happens as Mitch McConnell will turn loose the GOPe DeceptiCon hounds to support the Democrat incumbent – simply to retain the Republican trough.

The battle inside the Republican Party will be on full display once again in Kentucky. Watch.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has won the state’s Republican gubernatorial primary and will face incumbent Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in the November general election.

Cameron, a rising star in the party, came out on top in a crowded field of 12 Republican candidates that included former U.N. Ambassador Kelly Craft and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles.

His campaign had the backing of former President Donald Trump in a contentious race that served as a proxy fight between the Republican presidential front-runner and a number of other Republican heavyweights, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who both backed Craft.

Craft also had the high-profile endorsements of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., while Quarles had the commanding support of Kentucky farmers.

Cameron will now face what is expected to be a tough fight against Beshear, who polls say is one of the most popular governors in the country despite being one of the nation’s few Democrat governors of a red state. (read more)

Daniel Cameron noted thanks to President Trump and the MAGA coalition, and threw a jab at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by noting the Trump culture of winning is alive and well in the great state of Kentucky. WATCH (prompted):

I am leery of Trump’s endorsements, but I like this guy.

Let’s remember in 2022 Trump endorsed a bunch of candidates in the primaries only to have many of them lose in the general election.

This only matters if Cameron becomes Governor which I hope happens

The female donor that ran reminds me of Kelly Loafer. Thinks she can buy the seat. They need a venue to peddle their looks. More money than brains. Need an excuse to spend it.

Just think of all the successful 2 term governors out who could waltz into the seats in their states but chose not to. They’ve already had their share of attention. A wannabe senator doesn’t have to balance their views so they think of themselves as flamingos.

Montana. The establishment wants to promote some millionaire ex-Green Beret no one has heard of. Might work in that state but Tester is top notch and it will take someone top-tier. Governor Gianforte has chosen no to run. I rest my case.

Show me anybody who comes even close to President Trump's endorsement record, either Primary or General election and I might listen to you.

Otherwise, all you are spewing is hot air.

If he loses a SCOTUS seat could become available under Trump in ‘25. It would prove race is still an issue in our party. Oklahoma wouldn’t elect their black house speaker on 2 occasions-senate.

Kentucky is red. No excuses.

I said I hope the guy wins and you’re right no one matches Trump’s success in endorsements but quite a few of his endorsements lost, that is undeniable

Perhaps the hot air you detect is coming from your mouth not mine

Trump is known to pick losers, so, let’s not get too excited.

Nope, A LOT of Trump endorsed candidates won. He had over an 85% rate of win. The MSM made of bigger deal of the ones he lost. Thats why you think the way do. You’ve been watching too much MSNBC.

Perhaps, but the fact remains they lost which means the Trump endorsement meant nothing

Find me somebody, anybody, who has a better endorsement record, both Primary or General election and somebody just might listen to you.

Otherwise, what you posted is a purposeful distortion of President Trump's endorsement record.

The Senate would be under Republican control if Trump endorsed candidates had won like Dr. Oz, Herschel Walker and Blake Masters had won, two of them in supposed Republican states and one against a mental patient

Those are the races I’m talking about

And don’t forget the ones who lost through fraud, especially in Arizona.

Otherwise, all you are spewing is hot air.>>> I’d like to see the timelines of his endorsements. Sometimes they occur at the last minute. Like Mastriano who ran a terrible campaign. Trump needs to establish a working cabinet now. I don’t like the EO route that gets undone in a minute after he leaves office. He needs to devolve the state. Send offices to Nome, AK and out of the DC bubble.

“JUST THREE DAYS before the May 17 primary in Pennsylvania to decide the Republican candidate for governor, Donald Trump announced his endorsement of frontrunner Doug Mastriano, a far-right state senator who has backed the former president’s election claims and even attended the Jan. 6 rally outside the Capitol.”

Lets remember McConnell is a poor leader and he also blamed the Tea Party candidates in 2010. Then when Ted Cruz took and McConnell, they all attacked Ted Cruz. Now Trump is the problem. Then way back Reagan was the problem. The problems go much deeper than Trump endorsing candidates in this last 2022 election. But poor Mitch. If only his candidates were nominated and the base (aka primary voters) would stop interfering with his plans the GOP would triumph. Bullshit.
