Jimmy Carter has a mixed Legacy.

Are we talking about Jimmy Carter the man ,Jimmy Carter the Christian, Jimmy Carter the humanitarian , Jimmy Carter the president?

Everyone’s views of him will differ based on these and other ways of looking at his life.

A great President? 20 percent inflation and interest rates; gas lines; recession; Iranian hostages; Desert One; amnesty for draft dodgers. Hardly. And I believe he was a first class phony on a personal basis - banned alcohol at the White House but according to the agents, drank it profusely behind closed doors, pretended to carry his own bag, broadcast how religious he was. No good as a President and I don’t think he was/is much on a personal basis.

He is a man who spends every day trying to make his country, community and world a better place.

Perhaps, but he was a disaster as President.

He may have been a good man, don’t know him on a personal level, but no he was not a good President.
