methinks that she also knows that if she didn’t stand for the national anthem...
people would have seen her as being very ungrateful.
It’s also that somebody in the white house ‘whispered’ to her that she ‘should stand up for the anthem’ or it would have reflected very badly for the president and democrats in the midst of the election cycle.
