I said why didn't someone run him over and pin him to the pavement. Now, obviously I say this with the caveat of Monday morning quarterbacking, not being actually in the situation and not knowing what I would do if this happened in front of me because I would still be risking my life if he whipped around and started shooting as I approached.

But a vehicle could be an equalizer in this situation.

Most people flee a situation. It takes a special human, a sheep dog type, to run to the sound of the guns...even in a vehicle. Only 10% of the population, at best, are sheep dogs. Most are sheep. Some are wolves.
