There’s not much that can be done to verify identity remotely. A credit card won’t do it. ID with verification by video or whatever they do to verify performers in uploaded content maybe? However, users aren’t trying to be identified by these sites and reported to the government. They want their privacy.

Americans deserve some level of anonymity online, away from a busybody nanny state without fear of doxing, slander, public shaming, or being canceled, whether it’s for free speech or adult activities with themselves or others.

Some number of adventurous coming of age will seek access to adult things no matter what. It’s been that way even before the internet. This is better regulated and addressed by parents in the home than by the State. The website knows they cannot guarantee compliance so blocked the whole state to avoid the legal quicksand. I can’t blame them.
