I can understand the reaction. It was probably more of “This can’t be happening to me.”
She sure ruined her life. How many of us drove in that condition when we were young and stupid?
She’s probably in shock. I had that sort of reaction when I crashed my car into a barrier that I did not know the city set up. The officer investigating the accident thought I might be high, which I wasnt.

accidents happen and sometimes they are due to being drunk or drugged, or being tired, or inattention or using your cell phone....
