Three teenagers were charged with murder after allegedly tossing landscaping rocks at several Colorado drivers in a disturbing spree that left one motorist dead, according to authorities.
Victim Alexa Bartell, 20, was behind the wheel last Wednesday night while talking to a friend on the phone when she was fatally struck by a heavy rock that smashed through her windshield, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
..... The trio, identified as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik and Zachary Kwak, are also suspected of carrying out several other similar rock attacks on drivers the same night that Bartell was killed, according to the sheriff’s office.

1st degree is going to be hard to prove, I doubt they intended it. On the flip side, they clearly planned to do harm and layed in weight for the motorists.
I am glad these criminals were caught and stopped. Many youngsters are good at using their phones and computer savvy BUT too ignorant to understand that those very phones they love so much are tracking them.
Smart criminals know the phones have to get left in their lairs.

Unless, they were overcharged for exactly that reason. If they can’t make M1 stick, they might get a much lighter sentence for much lesser charge.
Better yet, sentence them to life. Give them a brand new sledge hammer and a never ending pile of rocks to break into gravel. Remind them every single day. I might even consider parole after 30 years when their bodies are completely broken.

I just had the windshield replaced in my Equinox because some kid shot it with a pellet rifle. The man that came to the house to do the job said that their company is seeing an epidemic of kids shooting out and tossing rocks at windshields. He said he replaced three last week that were broken by kids throwing rocks.
The pellet hit the passenger side where my husband was sitting. I’m glad it wasn’t a .22. He would have caught it right in the face. The pellet didn’t penetrate the glass. I have $1000 deductible on my insurance so I had to eat the cost of $308. They do mobile replacements and that was the total cost with them coming to me. Things could have been worse all the way around.

This is why we need to bring back public hangings. These three pieces of scum took that woman’s life for no reason at all. They deserve to have their lives taken away. It’s not like we’ve got a shortage of thug anal cavities in this country.
