Exactly.
Don’t want to know about America? Then let someone else fund your folly.
At the major universities, the professors do research and pull in grant money; the grad students do the teaching.
PLEASE, PLEASE, NC Board of Regents:
FIRE ALL OF THEM!
Stop sending our kids to indoctrination centers... and change funding laws dealing with state colleges and Universities.
Professors don’t own the schools - they work for them...remind them of that with new updated laws.
You forgot to add required by the state.
These faculty (who knows how many signed under duress) think the board of trustees work for them. I think not.
tenure
Substituting force feeding opinion of a select group of self important elite for documented fact....That really makes sense (s)
Why do they need 673 professors??????????
.
But aren’t those the VERY THINGIES that the “Democracy Dies in Darkness” “resistance” Democrats say they have been trying to protect against Russia, Putin, “MAGA extremist Republicans,” and Donald Trump?!
Fire every last one of them.
Of course they’re right, but for the wrong reason: I don’t want these lunatics teaching foundations of government.
... considering a TON of their courses didn’t actually even exist. They were just made up so their athletes could concentrate on athletics. How TF that school still has its accreditation is beyond me.
The word “democracy” when spoken by any leftist should be understood to mean “collective society”.
“Why do they need 673 professors??????????”
The school enrolls over 30,000 students. 11,796 graduate students and 19,743 undergraduate students. This represents approximately one professor for every 46 students. A 2021 study of teaching workload at UNC found the average sections taught per full time equivalent faculty member per semester to be 2.7. This is higher than the national average for research universities with high research activity and doctoral granting. The national average is 2.5.
UNC-CH has 30,000 students and 2,300 faculty. That’s not an unusual faculty-student ratio. Hillsdale College has about 1500 students and about 215 faculty, a higher ratio of faculty to students. Duke University has 16,000 students and nearly 1600 faculty.
Now that would be a great idea 💡
Agree. Stop funding these universities with your gifts.

Just like the Borg off Star Trek: The Next Generation. Assimilation is Futile!
