"60 Minutes" ran a sympathetic segment about the infamous Ray Epps and his role during the riot at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021 on Sunday, painting those who question his true motivations and actions that day as conspiracy theorists.
Epps was caught on camera on January 5 and 6 attempting to get protesters to go to the Capitol building, even being among the first to breach the barricades around the complex as people started to storm the grounds. Fox News host Tucker Carlson showed he lied to Congress when he said he left at an earlier time than when he actually did, when the riot was well underway.
Epps admits he wanted to be upfront and center when people started to arrive at the Capitol, but claims it was to help keep the peace.
"'Dude, we're not here for that. The police aren't the enemy,' something like that," Epps explained is what he remembered telling one rioter when the perimeter was breached.

When "60 Minutes" asked why he sent a text to his nephew about "orchestrating" the crowd at the Capitol, Epps does not fully explain beyond saying he was boasting to a relative and has since been scolded by his wife for using that word.

"60 Minutes" says the FBI gave this statement when asked if Epps was ever employed by the federal agency: "Ray Epps has never been an FBI source or an FBI employee."
You know, the ones who control your FCC license, can harass you with IRS audits, pressure from DHS regarding “misinformation,” FBI raids on your friends, staff and guests, etc...

CBS 60 Minutes stated in the Ray Epps segment that Epps was never observed involved in any act of violence. This is a lie. Epps was filmed helping shove a sizeable sign toward a line of police. He helped push the sign by reaching over those in front of him who were also propelling the sign toward the line of police. I wish that I were computer literate enough to find the video clip and share it here, but I am not. Perhaps others are.
They are the mob. It expanded to all aspects of government.
What they don’t know is the same thing all criminals don’t know, and it will bring them down. This is not speculation, it’s a law of nature.

Whatever his role, he did not renounce his view that there was fraud in the election, he only made the point that he now thinks that the protest should have remained outside the Capitol building. That is a point already argued to considerable extent by many other people during and after the event.
What is more important, the existence of fraud in the election, or the location and manner of the protest on January 6th, 2021? Obviously the existence of fraud is far more important. The “journalists” at 60 Minutes walked right past this elephant to shine a spotlight on a small rodent named Ray Epps.
The question is not, “who is Ray Epps?” but who is Joe Biden, and probably who is Barack Obama? In a country that was not essentially a banana republic, that is what any respectable news organization should be asking. Tucker Carlson is doing that, but the rest of Fox News have gone into a coma, the same coma that the mainstream media have been in ever since Barack Obama was wheeled out as the star front man for what is evidently a government of globalists located both inside and outside the country.
As such that government is not a legitimate government either under the Constitution or natural law. It has about the same status as the British regime that was challenged and overthrown in the years 1775 to 1783. And it should be treated in that same way, except that in this case, it controls much greater assets to maintain its presence for a long time, unless people braver than Ray Epps are willing to take a stand.
I don’t know if the program demonstrated that Ray Epps is an agent working undercover or just another Mike Pence who stared into the harsh light of the reality of power and blinked. Either way, like Mike Pence, he is a man who will not be remembered kindly if there ever is a good end to all this. If there is not a good end, then a false history will emerge that will only be challenged by a few people deep in the shadows for a very long and dark future. In fact I think we are those people already and getting used to that unpleasant reality. A second Trump presidential term would be perhaps the last chance to create any other outcome, and even so, it will be a great challenge.

Am I missing something. 60 Minutes hasn’t had any cred in decades. It’s underhanded facts-cooking tactics have been general knowledge since the 70s. Sheeple only take it seriously.

It’d be hard to be more in our faces than this ludicrous interview/puff job. Why don’t they bring on the Jan 6 bomber while they’re at it to say he was just out walking his dog.

The FBI wasn’t the only instigator on J6. Pelosi was up to her neck in it, and there is evidence that she had her daughter and son in law staged to film the event. Considering that, it’s not a stretch to believe she had a few civilians planted to stir up the crowd,. No doubt she had “buffers”, but I would be looking for connections between Epps and somebody in congress or the democrats.
People went to jail for doing far less than Ray Epps did. Explain that. He’ll probably get Tucker’s evening time spot on Fox.
Eventually, it will all come crashing down.
60 minutes and shows like it are hollow and slanted. Eventually, even the brain dead followers will get bored with it and it will fail. You cannot cater to a small percentage of the watching public and continue to succeed.
Here's hoping that the show fails big time.
